A Point of Clarification...

Some of you might have seen the opinion piece on MediaPost referring to my personal blog KnowVertical. It criticizes me for not making it more obvious that I am the Executive Vice President of Platform Services and Sales at Adify.

As you may or may not be aware, I spend the time I am not at Adify blogging about vertical ad networks and offering ideas and observations via KnowVertical. The idea behind this blog is to offer broad and in depth information on the vertical ad network industry as it has been a space I have been active in for some time. I wanted an outlet to share the incredible amount of knowledge I voraciously consume on a daily basis and leverage my years of market expertise via my work with comScore.

I wear many hats in the vertical ad network space and I have updated the KnowVertical blog to reflect that. I had been relying on the link to my Twitter page and email as a mechanism for people to identify me with my role at Adify, but realize that might have confused those of you who did not check it out. I hope the updated blog clears up any questions you have, but if not, feel free to shoot me a note via the contact links.

I had no idea of your connection and am disappointed to hear about it only now. I thought you were an interested observer and now my thoughts on your entries are colored by knowing that you're an active participant. They're not less thoughtful, but I will certainly take your posts with a bigger grain of salt. Honesty is the best policy.
